Last few days

Saw another bear! So here's a picture of a moose in a lake! Eventually we may have the camera ready!!

We spent a day a Lake Malign and took a boat trip to Spirit Island. Saw this moose in the lake. Took some nice atmospheric photos. It was hazy, but most of the early clouds had disappeared so we were able to properly admire the heavenly scenery.

On Saturday we had a long drive to Revelstoke Park. We visited a great canyon - Mistaya canyon, which is an Indian word for grizzly bear. You would have loved all the amazingly eroded rocks Mum!.. On the way we also had a close encounter with a black coyote who ran along the road beside us for several minutes. A bit later in the day we stopped at some falls in the Canadian Glacier N.P. It was one of those big ones that as soon as you start to get closer you start getting soaked! Had another stop off for a walk into an ancient forest. There were LOADS of different sorts of lichen all over the trees and rocks. Never knew there were so many!

  1. Am beginning to wonder about you seeing all these animals. First no bear and now a non existent moose picture.
Hope your having a good time. Some of us had to return to work today. X x

  2. On no! Feeling for you on the work front. You were lucky I managed to get whole sentences on here-cross times trying to publish with an internet connection that kept vanishing every 2 minutes! Think we will have to start wearing the camera round our necks like real tourists-know which neck I'd prefer!

  3. I enjoyed finding different kind of lichen when we were in the Lake District. I'd love to see some photos of lichen and moss. They're like miniature forests.

    1. Aah damn. Didn't take any, sorry! It really was like being somewhere prehistoric. Lake District too eh? Maybe it's all the rain these areas have. Nice to hear from you-thanks for commenting. X
